Berry Vines Birthday

Good morning!  Today I have a fun birthday card to share with y'all.  I placed the new Berry Vines stencil from A Colorful Life Designs right onto a white card and taped it down.  Then I used these little finger daubers to add distress oxide inks to the leaves and the berries.  I put down some sticky notes here and there to mask off areas so the colors stayed where I wanted them.  I also used the dauber to ink up the clear stamps so they would match the purple berries on the card.  The shiny sequins - Card Bling - are from one of the freebie packages that I got with my order from A Colorful Life Designs.

Grungy Glittery Leaves

Good morning! Today's card is one of my favorites, because it's all grungy and distressed, but it also has lots of glitter.  I love the contrast between the messy and the sparkly.  It's just fun!

I placed the stunning Fall Leaves stencil from A Colorful Life Designs onto some kraft cardstock and taped it down.  Then I spread three different colors of Paper Glitz over the entire panel, removed the stencil, and let this dry completely.  Next, I sponged some dark brown ink very lightly here and there and I also scrunched up the stenciled panel into a ball and then flattened it out.  I tied a green silk ribbon around the panel and glued the panel to a dark brown card.  The kraft circle was stamped with the sentiment and some small leaves and an acorn (Brutus Monroe) and then affixed to the card with some foam tape.

The S'more The Merrier

Good morning!  Have you seen the new Campfire stencil from A Colorful Life Designs?  It's so fun to make a little camping scene with the fire and the roasting marshmallows.  The S'mores stamp set has the perfect sentiments to go with those roasting marshmallows.

I placed the Campfire stencil right onto a kraft card and brushed on yellow and orange inks for the fire and a dark brown ink for the logs.  Then I rotated the stencil and brushed some brown ink over the stick with the marshmallow three times.  The sentiment from the S'mores stamp set was stamped with the dark brown ink, and then I brushed some brown ink around the edges of the card.

Happy Winter Postage Stamp Card

I placed the Marvelous Masks Postage Stamp 5" stencil over a white card and taped it in place.  Then I lightly brushed some soft green ink over the open area of the postage stamp stencil.  With that stencil still taped down, I placed the Classic Snowflakes stencil on top and taped it down.  Then I brushed the same green ink over the snowflakes with a heavier hand.  By leaving the Postage Stamp stencil on there, it keeps the stenciled snowflakes contained to just that open area instead of over the entire card.  After I removed both stencils, I added the sentiment and some shiny green Card Bling (a wonderful freebie with every order from A Colorful Life Designs).

I Love You S'More

Now most of the s'mores I've seen lately have the chocolate on top of the marshmallow, but that's not how I made them when I was camping as a kid.  You need the hot marshmallow to melt the chocolate, so it goes on top of the chocolate, right??  I always loved to get my marshmallow blackened on the outside so the inside was all gooey and melty.  That's what I did with my stenciled marshmallow - I purposely got the edges black and toasty.  LOL

Glittery Teal Leaves Birthday

Good morning!  I love this new Layered Fall Foliage stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.  It's so funky and retro and mod all at once.  LOL!  I especially love the little inside stenciling where I can do all kinds of different things to change up the leaves and acorns.  For today's card, I decided to go with a monochromatic color combo. 

I started by placing the first stencil down onto some white cardstock and I brushed one some Tidepool and Juniper inks (C9) all over the panel.  Then I removed the stencil and placed the second one down, aligning it with the leaves that I just stenciled.  I taped down this stencil and then spread some glittery teal paste over the whole stencil and set the panel aside to dry.  I die cut the sentiment, adhered it to the stenciled panel, and glued the panel to a teal card base.  Isn't that a fun birthday card??

Chocolate Sunflower Hello

Good morning!  Did you know that there is such a thing as chocolate sunflowers?  Yup, they are real!  I had this little fact in my head when I set about playing with this new Sunflower Scroll stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.  This is a gorgeous stencil, and I wanted to see if I could make some chocolate sunflowers with this stencil.

I placed the new Sunflower Scroll stencil onto some white cardstock and taped it down.  Then, with a very small blending brush, I blended some brown ink over the flower petals.  I used another small brush to add some yellow ink to the centers of the flowers, and then another small brush to add some soft green ink around the scrolls and the sunflowers.  After I trimmed the stenciled panel down for a mini slimline card, I stamped the sentiment with a dark brown ink.  The panel was glued to a dark brown layer and then glued to a white mini slimline card base.  (FYI - this mini slimline card size is 6" x 3.5")

Glittery Pumpkin Pouf Thanks

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing a fun pumpkin card with y'all.  This new Pumpkin Pouf stencil from A Colorful Life Designs is so elegant and gorgeous, so I pulled out some of my glittery pastes to use with it.  I placed the Pumpkin Pouf stencil over some cream cardstock and taped it down.  Then I spread some glittery orange paste over the pumpkin and very quickly spread some glittery golden paste on all the other areas and removed the stencil before everything dried.  I stamped the sentiment and die cut and adhered it below the pumpkin.  Then I glued the stenciled panel to a rusty orange card base.

Good morning!  It's still in the 100's here, but we have hope!!!!!!!!!!  It might be in the 80's next week!!!!!!!!!  I'm so excited and I can't wait to see if those temps actually happen for us.  So, I'm going to keep on posting my fall cards in the hopes that FALL actually makes an appearance next week.  

I used the gorgeous Layered Oak Sprig stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and some green, blue, and purple inks for a fun color palette.  Then I stamped the sentiment from Picket Fence Studios with black ink directly on top of the stenciling.  It fit beautifully right in that curve of the branch.

Glittery Foliage Birthday

Good morning!  Today's card is bright and fun and glittery, and I had an absolute blast creating this one.  I placed the new Layered Fall Foliage stencil from A Colorful Life Designs over some white cardstock and taped it down.  Then I sponged on some hot pink, purple, and orange dye inks randomly all over the stencil.  After I removed this stencil, I lined up the second stencil and taped it down.  Then I spread some glittery copper-ish glitter glue over the stencil, removed the stencil, and let the panel dry.  I adhered the dry panel to a white card base, and finally, I added the stamped birthday sentiment.

Glittery Autumn Greetings

Good morning!  It's not quite autumn here in TX as we're still in the 100's, but I'm doing my best to convince Mother Nature to cool off.  Maybe this glittery leafy autumn card will do the trick??

I placed the new Fall Leaves stencil from A Colorful Life Designs over some white cardstock and taped it down.  Then I spread some glittery pastes (yellow, orange, brown) all over the stencil in a random fashion.  After I scraped off the excess paste, I spread it onto some extra white cardstock and let it dry.  That's what I cut the "autumn" sentiment from so it matched my leafy background.
