Jingle Bell in the Arch - BYSHC Linky Party

I'm playing along with the Falling for the Holidays Linky Party hosted on the BYSHC blog, and this is my last card for this fun week.  I bought this Sleigh Bells die set from Honey Bee Stamps earlier this year and never actually got around to playing with it until this Linky Party came along.  Why did I wait so long??  It's so cute - I love it!  I basically just die cut all the pieces and glued them to a white arch that was distressed with some brown ink along the edges.  The sentiment (Tis the Season - Hero Arts) was stamped in black ink and the arch was glued to a golden yellow card.

Joyful Green Poinsettias - BYSHC Linky Party

I'm playing along with the Falling for the Holidays Linky Party hosted on the BYSHC blog, and this card is a fun experiment.  I love the Poinsettias stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code HollyFan10 to save 10%), and I actually wanted to see how it would look in something other than red or pink.  So I brushed some teal ink (Gumdrop from Taylored Expressions) over the whole panel, adhered it to a white card, and then glued down some Satin Matte Gold Card Bling all over.  The sentiment (Joyful Holiday - Kristina Werner) was stamped with black ink and adhered with foam tape.  I have to say, teal poinsettias may just be the next big thing!

Rustic Cocoa Cheer - BYSHC Linky Party

I'm playing along with the Falling for the Holidays Linky Party hosted on the BYSHC blog, and this is a woodsy, rustic, holiday card.  I started by watercoloring this cup (Hug in a Mug - Pink and Main) and set it aside to dry.  The green card base was stamped with the Woodgrain stamp from Sweet Miss Daisy and then I added some diagonally striped paper (Handmade Holiday - Simple Stories).  After I die cut the Notched Square (Pink and Main), I splattered the green card base and this square with some champagne paint.  When these were dry, I wrapped some twine around the square, added a button, and affixed the watercolored cup and the sentiment with some foam tape.  This square was then added to the green card base with more foam tape.

Poinsettia Cocoa Cup - BYSHC Linky Party

I'm playing along with the Falling for the Holidays Linky Party hosted on the BYSHC blog, and this card is full of wintery pastel vibes.  I embossed the green background with the Pine Branch folder from Pink and Main, and then I dragged a green ink across the top to deepen the color of the branches.  After I die cut and assembled the poinsettia (Hot Drink Add On dies - Pink and Main), I splattered the flower and the green background with some champagne paint.  I die cut and assembled the hot drink cup (Hot Drinks To Go - Pink and Main), added the poinsettia, and added this to the green background with a small pink strip behind it.  Lastly, I added the sentiment (Merry Sentiment Word Dies - Pink and Main) with some foam tape.

Snowflake Ornament in Greenery - BYSHC Linky Party

I'm playing along with the Falling for the Holidays Linky Party hosted on the BYSHC blog, and this is a very green card with a pop of pink.  I used the Close Up Branches stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code HollyFan10 to save 10%) to add some greenery to the background, rotating the stencil and using a different ink color to give this some dimension.  Next, I stenciled the same green inks (Poblano Pepper and Spearmint from Taylored Expressions) over one of the snowflakes from the Three Snowflakes stencil.  I cut this out with a circle die and adhered it to the die cut darker green ornament and added this to my greenery background with some foam tape.  After I added the little ornament cap to the top, I added a deep pink bow and the sentiment (Taylored Expressions) as well as a little rhinestone to the center of the snowflake.

Simple Cookie Christmas - BYSHC Linky Party

I'm playing along with the Falling for the Holidays Linky Party hosted on the BYSHC blog, and this is a sweet and simple Christmas cookie platter.  I used some old Recollections paper (Sugar Plums) for the green background and the red plaid strip, and then I added a scalloped frame around these.  I die cut a smaller scallop frame, but I left the white rectangle inside to make this look like a platter and then I added the white embossed Christmas cookies (Cocoa and Cookies - Pink and Main).  The sentiment (Merry Sentiments Word dies - Pink and Main) was die cut from white cardstock and added to the red plaid strip.

Sweet Cocoa Wishes - BYSHC Linky Party

I'm playing along with the Falling for the Holidays Linky Party hosted on the BYSHC blog, and this is my second card for this fun week.  I stamped and watercolored this gorgeous cup from Pink and Main (Hug in a Mug) and then adhered it to a vellum circle with some foam tape.  After I glued some plaid paper (Jovial - Basic Grey) to a black card base, I added a strip of green cardstock and then I adhered my vellum circle.  I added the sentiment from the same stamp set and then added some glitter enamel dots from Pink and Main.

Country Star Noel - BYSHC Linky Party

I'm playing along with the Falling for the Holidays Linky Party hosted on the BYSHC blog, and this is my first card for this fun week.  I started by running a cream cardstock panel through an embossing folder (Snowy Pines from Honey Bee Stamps) and then brushing some brown ink around the edges and over the embossed areas to give it a distressed look.  Next, I die cut the red star and all the little greenery/pinecones, orange slice, and bow (Barn Star Wreath - Spellbinders) and assembled them and glued them to the embossed Snowy Pines panel.  Lastly, I die cut the sentiment (Festive Corner Cuts - Concord & 9th) and adhered it below the star.

Leaf Circle Thanks

There is a new challenge over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog, and I thought I'd give it a try.  For the October 2026 challenge, the theme is Fall Foliage, and they gave us the following colors as inspiration: Clementine, Begonia, Regal Kiss, and Spanish Moss along with Black and Gold.

I pulled out those ink colors and did some ink blending on regular white cardstock.  Then I pulled out my Floral Circles and die cut my ink blended panels with the leafy circles and then glued them to similarly sized black circles.  Next, I die cut the Thanks (Basic Sentiments set) from another ink blended panel.  After I ran a black cardstock panel through my Empress with the Stitched Diamonds coverplate, I adhered the three circles (the middle is on foam tape) and the Thanks.  I really wanted to add some gold splatter but these ink blended die cuts are so vivid and striking against the black cardstock.  I didn't want to take the focus away from these gorgeous fall colors.

Have you played in the Pinkfresh challenges?  Check them out and give it a whirl!

Christmas Trio - BYSHC Christmas in July

Good morning! Today is the last day to enter your cards for the BYSHC Christmas in July Linky Party, and I wanted to play with some Sweet Miss Daisy stamps for this card.  These adorable holiday characters are from the Just for You set, and I colored them with Copic markers before putting them into die cut photo frames.  I chose the colors from the baking prompt of the July Art Nudge challenge and they worked great for these holiday characters!

Warm Your Heart - BYSHC Christmas in July

Good morning!  I've been working hard behind the scenes this week to get some Christmas cards done for the BYSHC Christmas in July Linky Party.   When I was first working with this Big Bow stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code HollyFan10 to save 10%), it was March and I wasn't even thinking about Christmas yet.  But I wanted to play with it again and see how it looked on a holiday card, and I like it!!

I brushed some soft greenish-blue ink over this Big Bow stencil onto some soft green cardstock and then fussy cut this bow.  I wanted to grunge it up a bit to match the patterned paper in the background (Bo Bunny Snowfall), so I randomly dabbed a brown ink around the edges.  I cut some extra green strips and brushed the greenish-blue ink over those as well as the brown ink.  I adhered the strips to the patterned paper and then added the bow with some foam tape.  Lastly, I added the sentiment from Stampin' Up to the lower right side of this card.

Warm Holiday Wishes - BYSHC Christmas in July

Good morning!  I've been working hard behind the scenes this week to get some Christmas cards done for the BYSHC Christmas in July Linky Party.  This is another adorable snowman from Newton's Nook Designs (Snow Much Cheer), and he was colored with Copic markers.  The snow bank is actually some white cardstock that I covered with Picket Fence Studios Sparkle Paper Glaze - it's so shiny and sparkly!  While that dried, I worked up the nerve to cut into some hoarded Basic Gray paper (Eskimo Kisses), and then I put the card together.

Holiday Bells - BYSHC Christmas in July

Good morning!  I've been working hard behind the scenes this week to get some Christmas cards done for the BYSHC Christmas in July Linky Party.  For today's card, I used the bells from the Bells & Holly set at Newton's Nook Designs.  I colored this with Copic markers and a metallic gold marker (bells) and then cut it out with the coordinating die.  The background was stenciled with some green ink with the Close Up Branches stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code HollyFan10 to save 10%) and then I added a strip of patterned paper from Simple Stories Handmade Holiday.  After I adhered the bells and the sentiment, I added some gold pearls.

Magic of the Season - BYSHC Christmas in July

Good morning!  I've been working hard behind the scenes this week to get some Christmas cards done for the BYSHC Christmas in July Linky Party.  I recently purchased this Snowflake Oval stamp from Newton's Nook Designs, and I couldn't wait to try it out.  I die cut the oval from the Oval Frames die and then stamped the snowflake oval on this - they are made to work together.  There is just enough room in the center to stamp a sentiment.

For the background, I ran some pale blue cardstock through a snowflake embossing folder and adhered it to a white card base.  I wrapped some silver cord around the card and then affixed the stamped oval.  Some silver enamel dots add a touch of color to this frosty holiday card.

Holly Sprig Christmas - BYSHC Christmas in July

Good morning!  I've been working hard behind the scenes this week to get some Christmas cards done for the BYSHC Christmas in July Linky Party.  I love this holly branch from Newton's Nook Designs (the Bells & Holly set), so I colored this with Copic markers and then went over the berries with a metallic red marker for a sparkly touch while the bow was colored with a metallic gold marker.  The background was stenciled with green ink using the Close Up Branches stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code HollyFan10 to save 10%).  I die cut some red text paper from the Basic Gray Jovial pad and adhered the holly branch.  After I glued the sentiment, I added some gold pearls to finish off this card.

Oranges & Cinnamon Christmas - BYSHC Christmas in July

Good morning!  I've been working hard behind the scenes this week to get some Christmas cards done for the BYSHC Christmas in July Linky Party.  I've had this particular kit from Stampin' Up for at least 5 years and I still hadn't put these cards together.  This Linky Party spurred me into action and I stamped all the sentiments, wrapped all the twine around the cinnamon sticks, and glued all the elements down onto the cards.  This kit comes with matching envelopes so now all I need to do is address them, stamp them, and get the in the mail in December.

Snowy Plumberry Christmas - BYSHC Christmas in July

Good morning!  I've been working hard behind the scenes this week to get some Christmas cards done for the BYSHC Christmas in July Linky Party.  For my first card, I wanted to play with some new stamps I got from Newton's Nook Designs.

I pulled out the Snow Much Cheer set and colored this cute snowman with Copic markers before I cut it with the coordinating die.  I cut the oval from the Oval Frames Die (also Newton's Nook Designs) and then stamped the tiny snowflakes all over it.  I glued a strip of patterned paper from Basic Gray Eskimo Kisses (YES, I've hoarded all my Basic Gray papers!!!) to some Plumberry (Concord and 9th) cardstock, attached the blue oval and then added the sentiment flag and the colored snowman.

Snowy Penguin Wishes - BYSHC Linky Party

Good morning!  I've been having fun creating some Christmas cards for the Spring into Christmas Linky Party on the BYSHC blog this week, and today is the last day to enter your cards into the challenge.

I pulled out a penguin die from Taylored Expressions that I've had for at least two years and still never used.  These Linky Parties are a great excuse to shop your stash and actually USE the things you forgot about.  LOL  So I cut this penguin from the Snow Squad set, put it together, and decided that I wanted a snowy background.  I watercolored a panel with some blue paint, let it dry, splattered it with white paint, let that dry, and then trimmed it down.  I cut a small strip of white cardstock to resemble a snowbank and stamped the sentiment (Taylored Expressions) before adding that to the bottom of the snowy blue background.  The penguin was tucked in behind the snowbank.

Poinsettia Season - BYSHC Linky Party

Good morning!  I've been having fun creating some Christmas cards for the Spring into Christmas Linky Party on the BYSHC blog this week, and I wanted to play with some new poinsettia dies today.  I pulled out these Garden Variety Poinsettia dies from Taylored Expressions and cut out the petals, leaves, and stamen.  I covered the stamen with some distress Stickles and set it aside to dry.  Meanwhile, I brushed some kraft ink over the beautiful Christmas Greenery stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code HollyFan10 to save) onto a kraft cardstock panel.

After I assembled the poinsettia onto the stenciled kraft panel, I stamped the sentiment (Taylored Expressions), temporarily covered it with scratch paper, and splattered the whole thing with white acrylic paint.  The final touch was to add some more of the distress Stickles to the panel and let it dry before I glued this to a white card base.

Heartflakes Season - BYSHC Linky Party

Good morning!  I've been having fun creating some Christmas cards for the Spring into Christmas Linky Party on the BYSHC blog this week, and this one was a fun experiment.

I brushed some pink oxide ink over some watercolor cardstock, placed the Heartflakes stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code HollyFan10 to save 10%) over this panel, and then used a baby wipe to remove some of the ink through the stencil openings.  It's a very rustic, distressed background, and it almost looks like snowflakes.  I splattered this panel with some white acrylic ink and set it aside to dry.

After I die cut a large white circle, I added it to the side of the pink Heartflakes panel and trimmed the excess.  Then I added this fun pink house sticker (Doodlepops) along with the blue hearts and the silvery white snowflakes to the card.  The sentiment (Hero Arts) was stamped, trimmed, and adhered below the house.  How cute is that??

Snowman Advent Cards - BYSHC Linky Party

Good morning!  I've been having fun creating some Christmas cards for the Spring into Christmas Linky Party on the BYSHC blog this week, and today's cards were a big project.  I got a crafty Advent calendar in December 2025, and each day's surprise was inside a snowman envelope.  I cut all these envelopes so I could use these snowmen on some holiday cards.  Some are mini slimline cards, and some are regular A2 cards.  I stamped and die cut different sentiments and added some punched holly leaves and red Stickles to all of the cards.

Slanted Chevrons with Moonshine

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing this card that I created with the new Slanted Chevrons stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.  I placed the stencil over some white cardstock and then I brushed some blue and purple inks over that, blending the two colors together where they met in the middle.  After I added the die cut sentiment (Altenew), I glued some of the gorgeous new Moonshine Card Bling around the sentiment.  Just look at that glow from the Moonshine Card Bling.  I love it!

You can save 10% off your entire order (excluding Master Creator Bundles) by using this code, HollyFan10, when you shop at A Colorful Life Designs.  This code can be used on the Card Bling, so check out the new colors in the store this month!  Stock up on the Moonshine Card Bling - it's gonna be a big seller.  Have a great week!

Noel Botanicals - BYSHC Linky Party

I'm back with another Christmas card for the Spring into Christmas Linky Party.  Remember the card I shared on Friday?  I made another one but changed up the sentiment just to see which one I liked better.  All of these stamps, dies, and stencils are from The Greetery (one of my favorite places to shop!).  Come join the Linky Party by sharing your holiday or wintery cards with us!

Be Merry Candy Canes - BYSHC Linky Party

Good morning!  I've been having fun creating some Christmas cards for the Spring into Christmas Linky Party on the BYSHC blog this week, and these pink candy canes are putting a big ol' smile on my face.

I started by placing the Candy Canes stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code HollyFan10 to save 10%) over a pink card base and then I brushed some pink ink over all the candy canes.  Next, I stamped the holiday mug, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out with the matching die (Pink & Main).  To help this holiday mug stand out from the candy cane background, I die cut a stitched oval (Pink & Main) from white cardstock, adhered about 2/3rds of it to the bottom edge of the card and trimmed the excess.  Some pink ribbon was tied around the card before I adhered the holiday mug with foam tape.  Lastly, I die cut the sentiment (Pink & Main) and adhered that to the card with foam tape.

Season's Greetings Postage Scene - BYSHC Linky Party

Good morning!  I'm back with a quick and easy card for the Spring into Christmas Linky Party on the BYSHC blog.  I got this wintery postage scene ephemera as a sweet freebie with one of my orders, and I was determined to use it before I lost it under a mound of other UFO's on my table.  I pulled out some red cardstock and brushed some white pigment ink over the Falling Snow stencil from A Colorful Life Designs (use code HollyFan10 to save 10%).  Yes, it's white ink but it dried to this off-white, almost grayish color, and I'm actually not mad about it.  It ties in nicely with the colors in the scene as well as the sentiment strip that I added behind the postage scene.
