Flower Cart - Purple Version

I bought the new Flower Cart Pop Up die set from Pink and Main as soon as I saw it, and I've been die cutting flowers all weekend.  How fun is this?  I couldn't help myself - I just had to keep adding more and more flowers to this cart.  This is my purple version of the cart I posted earlier, and I also changed the orientation of the wheels so that this cart faces right instead of left.  I'm entering this into the April challenge (flowers) on the Pink and Main blog.

 

Flower Cart - Pink Version

I bought this new Flower Cart Pop Up die set from Pink and Main as soon as I saw it, and when it hit my mailbox, I started up a die cutting frenzy.  How fun is this??  I went crazy with all kinds of flowers in different colors and different combinations and just kept piling them into the flower cart.  LOL  This is my "pink" version as I made another card with different colors.  I'm entering this into the April challenge (flowers) on the Pink and Main blog.  

 

Birthday Angles

 

Good morning!  Today's card is bright and happy with a fun pink and orange color combo.  I placed the awesome new A Lot of Angles stencil from A Colorful Life Designs over a white card and brushed the pink and orange inks randomly over the entire card.  After I removed the stencil, I added the die cut sentiment (Waffle Flower) and a whole lotta Card Bling.  You know I love the Card Bling, so I pulled out the Opaque Iridescent Orange and the Opaque Iridescent Dark Pink Card Blings.

Vertical Butterfly Hello

Good morning!  Today's card is a little study in contrasts - there's some glittery paste against the rustic kraft cardstock, and there's a fancy butterfly perched on a bold sentiment.  I spread the glittery soft green paste (Picket Fence Studios) over the new Vertical Swerves stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and let it dry while I die cut the sentiment (Hero Arts) from dark brown cardstock.  Then I glued the stenciled panel to a dark brown card base, adhered the sentiment, and perched the butterfly (Tim Holtz ephemera) on the sentiment with foam tape.  It's a little trick of the eye how the background seems to be in motion, almost as if the butterfly is flitting across the card.

Bokeh Dots Butterfly Birthday

Good morning!  The new Curved Dots stencil from A Colorful Life Designs intrigued me when I first saw it.  I love all the different sizes of circles on this stencil, and I wanted to see if I could use it a little bit differently.  So I placed this Curved Dots stencil over some Tidepool cardstock and brushed a very light layer of Tidepool ink over this.  Then I removed the stencil, turned it 90 degrees, and brushed a darker layer of Tidepool ink over this.  When I removed the stencil, I was surprised at how much it looked like bokeh.  Isn't that cool?  I added the die cut butterfly and the sentiment (Concord & 9th) and some Crystal Iris Aurora Borealis Card Bling to finish off this fun card.

Curvy Grid Hello

Good morning!  The new stencils for the April release at A Colorful Life Designs are full of fun new patterns, and one of them is this Curvy Grid that I've used on my card today.  How fun is that?  I brushed some turquoise ink over the Curvy Grid stencil onto some white cardstock.  Then I added the die cut sentiment (Pink & Main) and some yellow flowers (Taylored Expressions) for a little pop of color.  I love this cute little card!

Squares Floral Thanks

Good morning!  Have you seen the new stencils at A Colorful Life Designs?  They are all brand new patterns and they are so much fun!  You really can do anything with these patterned stencils.  For my card today, I reversed the usual order of things that I do when I stencil a card.

I started by brushing some inks across a panel of white cardstock - blue, purple, and pink.  After those dried (about 5 minutes), I placed the new I Love Squares stencil over the panel and brushed black ink over the entire stencil.  I let the black ink dry while I stamped the sentiment (Altenew) and die cut the flower (Memory Box).  When the stenciled panel was completely dry, I adhered the flower first and then I affixed the sentiment with foam tape.  Then I adhered this panel to a white card base.

Angles Sunset Wildflowers

Good morning!  The new stencil release at A Colorful Life Designs is full of great new patterns, and I really love this one called A Lot of Angles.  It's so perfectly geometrical!

I did a fun inky rainbow on my card with the A Lot of Angles stencil.  I placed the stencil over a white card and brushed the colors across the card with dark teal, light green, yellow, orange, pink, and purple inks.  Then I placed this stenciled card into my MISTI and stamped the wildflowers (Altenew) with black ink and set it aside to dry.  Meanwhile, I stamped the sentiment (Altenew) and die cut it, and then I glued the sentiment to the card.

Harlequin Mother's Day

Good morning!  There is a new stencil release at A Colorful Life Designs today, and this month is full of awesome new patterns.  One is this new Scalloped Harlequin stencil that I've used on my card today.  

I began by placing the Scalloped Harlequin stencil over some cream cardstock and I brushed some pink ink over that.  After I removed the stencil, I stamped the panel with an old script background and brushed the edges with a pale brown ink.  I wanted a little extra "texture" so I flicked some of the brown ink all over the panel. Then I added the ribbon and a glittery Prima flower and the sentiment (Taylored Expressions) before I adhered the panel to a brown card base.
