Exciting news!!!

Hi again!  I'm so happy you came back to visit with me this weekend.  It is so nice to share my creations with you on this blog again.  It's been a while since I did that, eh?  I missed the excitement and camaraderie of being part of a design team, so I'm here to share some exciting news with y'all.  I have joined the design team for A Colorful Life Designs!!!

A Colorful Life Designs has a wonderful variety of stencils, from sweet romantic doilies to funky psychedelic designs.  You can use so many different mediums with stencils - inks, paints, glitter pastes, texture pastes, sprays, chalks, and so much more.  I'm sharing my first Colorful Life card with you today, and I'll walk you through how I created it.

See those sweet frilly flowers in the background?  Those are created with a new set of stencils, Layered Fluffy Flowers, from the June 2019 release which is available now.  This is a set of three stencils, and they are labeled at the bottom of each stencil.  I started with the Fluffy Flower Base and I sponged some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink onto some white cardstock.  Next, I removed the Base and replaced it with the Fluffy Flower Middle over my inked cardstock.  I sponged some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink into the centers of the pale pink flowers.  After I removed the Middle stencil, I placed the Fluffy Flower Top stencil over the cardstock and sponged some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink onto the centers of the darker pink flowers.

These stencils make it so easy to create quick floral backgrounds!  I decided to cut mine apart and sponged all the edges with the Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink for an Aged Tiles technique background.  Some ribbon, a big butterfly, and a die cut sentiment complete this card.

Go check out all the fabulous stencils at A Colorful Life Designs!  I know you're gonna want them all! If you use this code, HollyFan10, you will save 10% off your entire order.  Have fun shopping!

Howdy y'all!!!!

Hi everyone!!!!  I'm back!!!!!  I took a little break from design teams but I did not stop creating.  I have spent a lot of time coloring with different mediums, such as colored pencils, Copic markers, and watercolors.  If you follow me on Facebook, you've probably seen all the different images I've colored over the past two years.  Here's a little sampling of the things I've done over the past two years:

I have some exciting news to share with you, so please check back with me this weekend.  Yes, you'll be seeing more postings on this blog in the very near future!  :-)
