Get Well Bouquet in Blue

This week we are focusing on get well cards for the WWDB (What We Do Best) challenge over on the Technique Junkies Facebook group.  I stamped the beautiful new Milk Bottle Bouquet stamp with blue ink and then brushed the same blue ink all over the edges with an ink blending brush.  The sentiment is from the Floral Framed Sentiments set, and I stamped it with the same blue ink.  For my envelope, I inked up the bouquet with the blue ink, but I stamped it off on scratch paper first before pressing it down on my envelope.

Come join us in the WWDB challenges!  You could win $50 just for playing along!

Colorful Batik Butterfly Collage

Good morning!  I'm here to share this colorful batik butterfly collage card with y'all today.  This Butterfly Collage with Text is from the new April release over at Technique Junkies, and it's a gorgeous background stamp.  After I stamped it with black ink, I placed the Primitive Batik stencil over it and used the ink blending brushes to apply green, blue, and pink ink all over.  You can see where some of the colors blended together to make a fun pop of turquoise or a purple hue.

This was a fun and easy card to create.  What colors would you use with this Butterfly Collage with Text stamp and the Primitive Batik stencil??

For my first card today, I stamped the beautiful new Milk Bottle Bouquet with Versamark, covered it with white embossing powder, and heated it with a heat tool.  Since we are coming up on Mother's Day in May, I thought it would be perfect to add the Happy Mother's Day sentiment to this card.

This next card was an experiment and I loved it so much, I am going to set aside some time to make a dozen more.  First, I stamped the fabulous new Butterfly Collage with Text using some permanent black ink onto white cardstock.  Next, I pulled out my much neglected Distress Stains (remember those??) and picked three coordinating colors.  Here, I used Tumbled Glass, Milled Lavender, and Dusty Concord.  A word of warning - the Dusty Concord is no longer purple.  It actually changed color in the years that it was sitting in a dark cool place, and it is now a deep denim blue-ish color.  But the three colors looked great together, and after I added sequins and the purple organdy ribbon, it all came together beautifully.

My last card for today features two new stamps - Lotus Corner and Anything is Possible.  I stamped the Lotus Corner with black Memento ink and colored it with Copic markers.  The sentiment is stamped with the same black ink.  To give this card a feeling of the flowers sitting on water, I placed the Primitive Batik stencil over the flowers and lightly brushed some blue ink through the stencil.
