Shimmer, Glimmer, Sparkle, and Shine Blog Hop

Welcome! Today, the Technique Junkies Newsletter Designers are sharing some great artwork from our brand new CD, Shimmer, Glimmer, Sparkle and Shine! This CD contains 45 pdf tutorials in step-by-step pictorial format -- all printable to 8-1/2” x 11” paper.  Tutorials and card ideas for using glitter, shimmer mists, glimmery paints, gold leafing, foils and so much more!  This CD also includes primers for making your own shimmering paints, colored glitter, and glimmering mists, too!

You should have come from Ann Clack's blog to arrive here.  Ann created a wonderfully glittery butterfly on her card, didn't she?  It's gorgeous!  If you haven’t started at the beginning of the hop, visit Judy on the Designer’s Blog so as not to miss a thing!

Before I get started with my projects, I want to let you know that a prize will be given away!  To be considered for this drawing, leave a comment on each blog in this hop.  One lucky winner will get a brand new Shimmer, Glimmer, Sparkle, and Shine CD!!  Wanna see what tutorials are on this CD?  Click here to see the Table of Contents with pictures of each technique.

I was in a purple mood when I was creating these cards for this blog hop.  My first card uses the awesome Glazed Chipboard technique.  The glitter that I used on this flower was a nice match to my Razzleberry cardstock, and the sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I have fallen in love with this Glazed Chipboard technique!  It's so fun and easy, and I have tons of chipboard and glitter that will be put to good use!

My second card utilizes the Embossed Stickles technique with some sweet lavender flowers.  I love the way this turned out - so shimmery and glittery!  I added extra shimmer by covering my punched butterflies with Star Dust Stickles and scattering them randomly on my card.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up.

I know you want to get your hands on this CD.  Click on the button below to buy it now - it's only $14.95.  That's a fantastic deal!  You get 45 step-by-step tutorials with samples for each technique.

Now it's time for you to hop along to Shelly's blog to see what glittery goodness she's sharing today. Don't forget to leave a comment on each blog to be considered for the prize drawing. :-)

Great Gifts Blog Hop with SCSS, eP, and TJ

Hello readers!  Welcome to the Great Gifts Blog Hop!  Today we are sharing great gift ideas from the Great Gifts CD from Technique Junkies using stamps from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and papers and embellishments from eclectic Paperie.  This is going to be a fun blog hop full of wonderful ideas, so settle in with your favorite beverage and get ready for some wonderful eye candy!

For my project today, I created a Pocket Post It Pad.  This tutorial can be found on the Great Gifts CD along with 39 other tutorials (40 total).  Wanna see all the great things you can make from this CD?  Here is a link to the Table of Contents for the Great Gifts CD - you can see samples of each of the tutorials here.

I used the beautiful Snowflake Silhouettes stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I love the different sizes of snowflakes and that wonderful sentiment.  The gorgeous striped paper in the background is from Echo Park's Winter Wishes paper pad (from eclectic Paperie) and the buttons from the Ice collection at eclectic Paperie are a perfect match with this paper.  I tied some baker's twine around the little section in the middle that houses the pen, and I stuck one of the beautiful Crystal Trinket Pins behind the sentiment.  eclectic Paperie has a wonderful variety of embellishments to use on all of your crafting projects.

In the picture below, you can see the inside of my Pocket Post It Pad.  I stamped some more of those beautiful snowflakes with some Versamark ink all over the inside of the cover.  I am going to slip this inside a pretty little bag and give this to my grandmother for Christmas.  She's always writing down notes, whether it's a grocery list, appointments, what time she put a roast in the oven and what time she needs to take it out, and reminders to send out birthday cards to all her friends and family.  :-)

Each of the companies will be giving away a prize randomly drawn from their designers' blogs:

eclectic Paperie - 25% discount on a future order
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps - $15 store credit
Technique Junkies - Great Gifts CD or any TJN CD of winner's choice

To be included in the drawings, leave a comment on each of the blogs in today's hop by midnight, Friday, December 7, 2012.  The winners will be posted on each company's blog by Sunday, December 9.  Good luck!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Have fun hopping along to the other blogs in today's Great Gifts Blog Hop!

Belli Challenge #124 - Gingham

Hey folks! It's been a while since I played in the Belli Challenges, and I couldn't pass up this one. Today's challenge is all about gingham and I love me some gingham! :-)

I've got a mix of stamp companies on this card, and you might recognize my beloved Fine Gingham backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms on here. I stamped it with olive ink and cut it into smaller strips for this card. The red background is the Embossed Image technique from Technique Junkies, and I've used the Sanded background from Stampin Up on there. The adorable bear holding the sunflower is a new digi from Sweet N Sassy Stamps called Rhubarb's Sunflower.

I colored the bear with Copic markers and then I used the Out of the Nesties box to cut it out with an oval die. I distressed it a little bit with some Walnut Stain ink and a distressing tool. Then I used that same distressing tool on all the other cardstock pieces - it almost looked like it was snowing in here! LOL

Go check out the Belli Challenge and play along with us! We'd love to see what you create!
