Paper Pieced Gnomes

 

Good morning!  It's Holly posting today, and I'm sharing these fun gnomes with y'all.  I stamped Hanging with my Gnomies from Technique Junkies with Tuxedo Black Memento ink right onto a white card base.  That's right - this is a one layer card.  I colored the face, beard, and shoes with Copic markers.  I then stamped the gnomes onto three different patterned papers, cut out the hats, and glued them onto the colored gnomes.  This was a fun and quick card to make for a dear friend who loves gnomes.  

 

You Add Sparkle

I used the Messy Diamond Grid stencil from A Colorful Life Designs with some iridescent glitter paste on this fun card. What I didn't realize is that this particular glitter paste also has tiny microbeads in there. So there is a tactile feel to this card in addition to the shimmery glitter. It works great with the larger "holes" in this Messy Diamond Grid stencil. I also spread some of this glitter paste over the die cut "Sparkle" and along the edges of the white cardstock borders. This is one sparkly card! LOL

Walk in my Garden

 

I have a shimmery watercolored card to share with you today.   I stamped the gorgeous new Floral Card Frame from Technique Junkies with permanent green ink onto some watercolor paper, and then I stamped the sentiment from In Full Bloom (also from Technique Junkies) in the center of the frame.  

While the ink was drying, I pulled out some shimmery, iridescent watercolor paints (Daniel Smith) and picked a pink, a blue, and a pale green color.  I covered the entire paper with water and then added the paints randomly for a soft, ethereal look.  The shimmer on this card is just gorgeous.  Hopefully you can see a bit of the shimmer in the picture.  Have a wonderful week!

 

New Red Glitter Shoes

Did you see the new August stencil release from A Colorful Life Designs? There are so many awesome new stencils this month! One of them is this one, High Heels stencil. I spread some red glitter paste over this stencil and let it dry before I added the sentiment. Sometimes a girl just needs glittery red shoes! :-)

Pink Faith Chrysanthemums

Did you see the gorgeous new Technique Junkies August 2020 release yesterday?  I'm using some more of those beautiful new stamps on this card today.  I stamped the Chrysanthemums with a pink ink onto pink cardstock - isn't that gorgeous?  I love this background!  Then I stamped the sentiment using words from the new Love, Faith, and Peace set.  You can mix and match the words for a different sentiment as needed.  That's a really neat feature for this set.

For my first card today, I used the gorgeous new Chrysanthemums for the background and the new Love, Faith, and Peace set for the sentiment.  The sentiment set is so cool because you can mix and match the words in the set.

My second card uses the fun new Be a Fruitloop stamp.  Remember eating that cereal when you were a kid?  I colored this to resemble a bowl full of Cheerios with a single red "o" from the Fruit Loops cereal.  LOL

My third card uses the delicate and beautiful Circular Vines in the background.  I decided to change things up and make a Christmas card with this using the Merry Christmas sentiment embossed in gold.  I added some green shading to the edges for that forest-y feel.
