Glittered Hearts Valentine's Day

Good morning!  I have Valentine's Day on the brain, and I'm sharing this glittery creation with you today.  I used the new Happy Love stencil from A Colorful Life Designs to create the background.  I started by placing the Happy Love stencil onto some red cardstock, and then I spread some white stencil paste over the whole panel.  I carefully lifted the stencil up and then immediately covered the wet hearts with some white glitter.  I tapped the glitter into the paste very very lightly with my fingers and then set it aside to dry.  Once it was completely dry, I brushed off the excess glitter and added the die cut sentiment (Elizabeth Craft Designs).

XOXO Hearts Shaker Valentine

Good morning and Happy New Year!  I'm excited to see what 2022 brings!

I have a fun shaker card to share with you today.  I started by brushing some pink ink over the brand new Happy Love stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.  I started with a light hand at the top and added more color and more pressure as I went down so I would get this pink ombre coloring on these stenciled hearts.

I found some smaller love sentiments and stamped them with black ink inside some of the hearts.  Once this panel was completely dry, I wrapped some clear plastic packaging around the card, taping it on the back on three sides.  With one side still open, I poured in some clear sequins and then I taped off that end.  These full card front shakers are so much fun to make!

For my first card today, I used the sweet new Dog is a Small Word sentiment.  I started by stenciling the puppy silhouette from the Puppy Pals stencil (A Colorful Life Designs) onto my white card base with some brown ink.  Then I stamped the Dog is a Small Word right inside the puppy silhouette.

For my second card, I stamped the gorgeous new Lavender Frame with black ink.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Lavender Friendship Sentiments set inside the Lavender Frame.  I used Copic markers in gray, pale green, and lavender hues to color in the images around the frame.

My last card today shows off the fun new Kitty Love background stamp.  I stamped this cute Kitty Love with black ink, let it dry, and colored in all the hearts with a red Copic marker.  I added some die cut X and O letters for a cute "hugs and kisses" sentiment.

Noel Poinsettia

Good morning, friends!  I'm popping in with one more Christmas card this week.  This is actually a very easy card to create, but it takes a LOT of time to dry.  It took about 8 hours or more for this one to dry.

I misted a piece of watercolor paper with some water and then sprinkled some Infusions watercolor powders (Frankly Scarlet and Emerald Isle) all over it.  I misted it with some more water just to get the powder wet and allow the colors to blend together.  I placed the beautiful Single Poinsettia stencil from A Colorful Life Designs over this watercolor panel, pressing it down into the wet colors.  Then I left it alone for 8 to 10 hours so it could dry completely.  When I removed the stencil, this is what appeared.  It's so magical!

I added some black pearls to the center and the die cut sentiment (Honey Bee Stamps) to complete this card.  I love how this looks and I can't wait to make some more panels like this with other stencils in my stash.

If you don't have this Single Poinsettia stencil yet, head on over to A Colorful Life Designs to go shopping.  Be sure to use this code, HollyFan10, when you check out.  You'll get 10% off your entire order.  Happy Shopping!

Birthday Donuts

Good morning!  After focusing on Christmas cards for the last few months, I am now turning my attention toward birthday cards.  I want to make my cards for the year ahead because I am terrible at mailing them out!  Let's see if this helps - cross your fingers!

On this card, I went super simple.  It's just a white card folded in half, and I stamped this fun Birthdays and Donuts image from Technique Junkies with black ink.  After the ink dried, I colored the donuts with Luminance colored pencils and went over the sprinkles and glaze squiggles with a white gel pen.  That sentiment just cracks me up.  LOL

Want to add this stamp to your stash?  Use this code, TJ10Holly, and you will get 10% off your order at Technique Junkies.  Grab this Birthdays and Donuts stamp, check out the new Catherine Pooler ink pads, and pick out a few gorgeous Shimmering Bliss sprays.  Happy shopping!

Beauty of Christmas Flowers

Good morning!  Can you believe it's December already?  I'm popping in with this richly colored Christmas card that I created with the Christmas Flowers stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.  This is one of my favorite stencils, and I couldn't resist playing with it this week.  To create my deep berry-colored background, I sprinkled some watercolor powders (Infusions) onto some watercolor paper and then misted it with water.  I placed the Christmas Flowers stencil on top and left it there until the whole thing was completely dry, which took a good 8 hours or so.

You don't want to use a heat tool to speed up the drying because it could melt your stencil.  It's best to just leave it alone to air dry.  It's always fun to peel off the stencil and reveal the background.  You never know what it will look like until it is completely dry, and no two pieces are ever the same.  For this card, I used Blackcurrant and Violetta Infusions powders to achieve that gorgeous purple-red-pink coloring.

I love how this almost has a stained glass look to it.  Isn't that just perfect for a Christmas card?  If you'd like to pick up this Christmas Flowers stencil, please feel free to use this code, HollyFan10, when you check out at A Colorful Life Designs.  You will save 10% off your entire order.  Have a wonderful day!
