Thinking of You in Purple Florals

Good morning!  How about a non-holiday card today?  Well, it's not a holiday card, but I did use a "holiday" stencil.  I used the new Yuletide Floral stencil from A Colorful Life Designs for the background, brushing some purple ink over the stencil so that the centers of the flowers are a little darker and the color fades out.  Then I die cut the sentiment from Concord and 9th and adhered it to the middle of the stenciled background.  I used the same purple color of cardstock to add a layer between the stenciled panel and the white card base.

Mistletoe Rainbow Christmas

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing a card I made with the new Mistletoe Rainbow stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.  I love this whimsical rainbow!  Isn't that cute?  I placed this Mistletoe Rainbow stencil over some white cardstock, and then I colored the sections by masking off each arch and brushing on some soft blue, soft green, and soft pink inks.  After I finished the rainbow, I added the stamped sentiment and adhered the panel to a soft blue card base.

You could use any color combo you like for this Mistletoe Rainbow.  How about bold reds and greens?  What about some pinks and purples?  You could even go with blues and silver or greens and copper - wouldn't that be pretty?

Golden Ring Be Merry

Good morning!  I'm back with another holiday card, and this time I've gone with elegant gold and black colors.  I used the new Star Ring stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, which was placed over a black cardstock panel.  I carefully spread some glittery gold paste (Picket Fence Studios) over the whole panel, removed the stencil, and set it aside to dry.  Meanwhile, I stamped the "Be Merry" sentiment from the new Season's Tweetings set with some Versamark ink and embossed it with some gold embossing powder.  After the melted powder cooled, I cut it with a circle die.  I glued the sentiment to the center of my stenciled panel and adhered the panel to a white card base so I could write a note inside.

Silver White Winters

Good morning!  I love this new sentiment stamp from the Season's Tweetings set from A Colorful Life Designs.  It pairs perfectly with the new Forest of Trees stencil.  I just had to have some silvery, glittery, white trees to go with this sentiment, so I placed the Forest of Trees stencil over some sage green cardstock, taped it down, and spread some Arctic Fox Luxe paste (Picket Fence Studios) over the whole panel.  After I removed the stencil, I set this panel aside to dry.  Meanwhile, I stamped this sentiment with a slightly darker green ink and added a darker green cardstock behind it.  After my stenciled panel was dry, I wrapped some silver cording around the panel and tied it into a bow before I affixed the sentiment with some foam tape.  The entire panel is glued to a white card base.

Snowman Candy Cane

Good morning!  Today's card is super cute with a sweet snowman peeking around a big bold candy cane.  I used the new Big Candy Cane stencil from A Colorful Life Designs which was placed right onto a white card base.  I stenciled some bright red ink over this stencil and then carefully removed it.  Then I stamped the sentiment on the left side and I added this die cut and colored snowman from Hero Arts to the right side of the candy cane.  It's so cute!

Rainbow Snowflake

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing this fun rainbow snowflake card with y'all.  I used the brand new Prim Snowflake stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and I placed it right on top of a white card base.  Using some small brushes, I applied different colors of ink over each "section" of the snowflake, keeping the colors in a rainbow pattern.  Then I added the stamped sentiment from Hero Arts with foam tape to the center.

Merry and Bright Ho Ho Ho

Good morning!  There's a new release over at A Colorful Life Designs, and this one is full of stencils that are perfect for holiday cards.  I had so much fun playing with a bunch of these stencils this month!

For my card today, I used the new Layered Ho Ho Ho stencil.  This one has four layers so you can use different colors for each layer.  I gotta tell you, this one is SO fun!  The hardest part is picking the colors.  I used a cranberry red, a lime green, a forest green, and a medium blue ink for each of the stencil layers.  Then I added some die cut foliage and glued them behind the stamped sentiment.
