Candy Stripes Christmas

Today's card is one of my favorites.  This cute Candy Stripes stencil is perfect for your holiday cards.  I sponged some bright red ink over the new Candy Stripes stencil right onto a white card.  I die cut the sentiment and the foliage from white cardstock and the sentiment shadow from black cardstock.  The foliage was colored with some Copic markers and adhered behind the sentiment.

Berry Vines Birthday

Good morning!  Today I have a fun birthday card to share with y'all.  I placed the new Berry Vines stencil from A Colorful Life Designs right onto a white card and taped it down.  Then I used these little finger daubers to add distress oxide inks to the leaves and the berries.  I put down some sticky notes here and there to mask off areas so the colors stayed where I wanted them.  I also used the dauber to ink up the clear stamps so they would match the purple berries on the card.  The shiny sequins - Card Bling - are from one of the freebie packages that I got with my order from A Colorful Life Designs.

Grungy Glittery Leaves

Good morning! Today's card is one of my favorites, because it's all grungy and distressed, but it also has lots of glitter.  I love the contrast between the messy and the sparkly.  It's just fun!

I placed the stunning Fall Leaves stencil from A Colorful Life Designs onto some kraft cardstock and taped it down.  Then I spread three different colors of Paper Glitz over the entire panel, removed the stencil, and let this dry completely.  Next, I sponged some dark brown ink very lightly here and there and I also scrunched up the stenciled panel into a ball and then flattened it out.  I tied a green silk ribbon around the panel and glued the panel to a dark brown card.  The kraft circle was stamped with the sentiment and some small leaves and an acorn (Brutus Monroe) and then affixed to the card with some foam tape.

The S'more The Merrier

Good morning!  Have you seen the new Campfire stencil from A Colorful Life Designs?  It's so fun to make a little camping scene with the fire and the roasting marshmallows.  The S'mores stamp set has the perfect sentiments to go with those roasting marshmallows.

I placed the Campfire stencil right onto a kraft card and brushed on yellow and orange inks for the fire and a dark brown ink for the logs.  Then I rotated the stencil and brushed some brown ink over the stick with the marshmallow three times.  The sentiment from the S'mores stamp set was stamped with the dark brown ink, and then I brushed some brown ink around the edges of the card.

Hey There Pumpkin Slimline Shaker

Good morning!!  Today I'm sharing a slimline card that I made with the new Lots of Pumpkins stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.  Yesterday, I shared a card with this stencil where the pumpkins were all kinds of different colors.  Today, I have the traditional orange pumpkins but I set them inside a shaker card.  So fun!!  I love how the pumpkins look like they are sitting on a bed of sequins.

Good morning!  It's officially fall now, but wow, it's hot.  It's been in the upper 90's this week, and we are just happy it's not in the 100's any more.  Let's see if we can get the temperatures down into the 70's or 80's so it feels more like fall, okay?

Happy Winter Postage Stamp Card

Good morning!  The new Classic Snowflakes stencil from A Colorful Life Designs is on sale for only $4 until September 22, and this versatile stencil is a must-have for your crafting toolkit.  Yesterday I showed you a card with this stencil and some glittery stencil paste, and today I'm sharing an inky version.

I placed the Marvelous Masks Postage Stamp 5" stencil over a white card and taped it in place.  Then I lightly brushed some soft green ink over the open area of the postage stamp stencil.  With that stencil still taped down, I placed the Classic Snowflakes stencil on top and taped it down.  Then I brushed the same green ink over the snowflakes with a heavier hand.  By leaving the Postage Stamp stencil on there, it keeps the stenciled snowflakes contained to just that open area instead of over the entire card.  After I removed both stencils, I added the sentiment and some shiny green Card Bling (a wonderful freebie with every order from A Colorful Life Designs).
