You can use it either horizontally or vertically, and you can make it as subtle or as bold and colorful as you want. I chose to go with soft and subtle today by placing this Basket Weave stencil on some kraft cardstock and brushing some kraft ink all over it. I colored the sunflower image with Copic markers and added the birthday sentiment across the top.
