Accordian Card - TJ CD
Have you seen the news about the new Fancy Folds and Motion Paper Crafts CD that is being offered by Technique Junkies?? I had the honor of working on several projects for this cd, and what you see above is what I created for a special accordian card tutorial. There are 60 awesome tutorials on this cd for for all things folded and motion-related.
Not only do you get the full-page, step-by-step color tutorials, but you also get some gorgeous artwork. This new CD will ship in November. This will be a great resource for your own paper crafting, and if you are a demo or instructor, these tutorials will be a big hit in your classes.
The CD is $17.95 for US and Canadian Residents (Overseas, $19.95US). Do you see the little button over on the right side of my blog directly under the header? That will take you directly to the page to purchase this cd. Not comfortable with online ordering? You can email Pat Huntoon (owner of Technique Junkies) for an invoice or send a check to her at::

Apples in Autumn - CC&M
I am just loving this fall weather here in TX these days. It was a long time coming, but now we have those wonderful cool mornings and cool evenings to offset the warm afternoons each day. Now's the time for hay rides, apple-picking, pumpkin carving, and watching the leaves change color.
For my creation today, I wanted to use the apple die cut card from Creative Cuts and More and have it shout "autumn." I used the Mono Dies technique from Technique Junkies on the front of this card. The smaller apples are from a Martha Stewart punch, and they coordinate perfectly with all the apple die cuts from Creative Cuts and More.
For the sentiment, I used a small square of kraft cardstock, stamped the sentiment with brown ink, and then stamped Holly's Tattered Background with Versamark ink over the sentiment. That background gives the kraft cardstock a sort of cracked bark, woodsy feel.
Happy Autumn! Enjoy your weekend!
Die Cuts: Apple Window Square Scallop Card cut from Parakeet Bazzill Canvas cardstock
Stamps: Autumn Blessings (retired SNSS), Holly's Tattered Background (I Brake for Stamps)
Ink: Bamboo Leaves Memento, Versamark, Rich Cocoa Memento

Cardabilities Sketch #13
I have some exciting news for y'all today. I am one of the new Design Team members for the Cardabilities sketch team! Today is my first post as a DT member, and I can't wait to show you what I created. First, here is sketch #13:
Don't you just love those swirls on the side? This gave me a chance to pull out some swirly rhinestone bling that I've been hoarding and put it to use on my first Cardabilities card.
I used a silver glitter pen to accent the rails on the sleigh. I also used a deep red glitter pen to color in the tiny berries in the holly border. Hopefully you can see the wonderful shimmer in this close-up picture:
Play along with us and create a card using this sketch. Post the link to your card over on the Cardabilities blog so we can all see your creation. For some more wonderful eye candy using this sketch, check out what the rest of the DT has done on the Cardabilities blog. I'm looking forward to showing you my next Cardabilities creation, so tune in on October 30 for the next sketch and samples. (Cardabilities has new sketches out on the 15th and 30th of every month.)
Stamps: Old Fashioned Christmas (Just Rite)
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento, Old Paper distress, Pumice Stone distress
CS: Cherry Cobbler, White, Mitten Weather (Cosmo Cricket)
Other: Copic markers, sponges, rhinestone - single gem in center of poinsettia (Kaiser), rhinestone swirl (Prima), circle dies (Spellbinders), poinsettia (Prima), silver glitter pen (Sakura), garnet glitter pen (Spica Atyou), ribbon (Creative Inspirations)

Winter Deer
Aren't these just the most adorable deer? This stamp is made by Stampavie, and as soon as I saw this in the Stampers Dream store, I snatched it up. As luck would have it, the current challenge on the Stampavie blog is to use die cuts.
I started with a die cut card from Creative Cuts and More. This is the Filigree Square Window Square Card cut from Wildberry Pie Bazzill Smoothies cardstock. I stamped the entire front with a snowflake background stamp and set this aside to dry. The deer are colored with Copic markers and I used a glitter pen on the "jingle bells" as well as the snow drifts.
I needed a sentiment so I kept this simple by just stamping the sentiment, cutting it out with an oval die, and then using the Wisped Frames technique (from Technique Junkies) around the sentiment. Sweet and simple!
Stamps: Dearest Deer from Stampavie, Stocking Prints (PTI), Snowflakes (Impression Obsession), Inside & Out - Holiday (PTI - for sentiment inside the card)
Ink: Fresh Snow, Brocade Blue, Rich Cocoa Memento
Other: Copics, sponge, oval nestability die, Sakura glitter pen

Apple of my Eye
It finally feels like fall here in Texas, and I was inspired to create a warm, homespun apple card using this fabulous Apple Window Square Scallop Card from Creative Cuts and More. This card is cut from the gorgeous dark green Ivy Bazzill Canvas cardstock.
To contrast with the dark green cardstock, I chose to stamp a houndstooth background with red ink onto some smooth white cardstock. The background just looked a bit too clean and "white", so I distressed it by sponging some Antique Linen distress ink all over.
How do you like the little pieces of wood on this card? Yes, that is real wood! LOL I found a small bag of wood slices at Walmart in the floral section, and this provides the perfect country feel for my apple card. :-)
By the way, don't forget to use this special coupon code - CC&M10Holly - when you order from Creative Cuts and More. You will receive 10% off your order. Gotta love that!

Chin Up
I am sharing another Cornish Heritage Farms creation with you today. There are a lot of CHF cards that I haven't shared on my blog yet, so you'll be seeing some from time to time.
This card would be nice to give to a man who is going through a rough time. I like this turtle - the distressed/grungy yet realistic look is wonderful. The patterned paper from Basic Grey is just too perfect with this turtle, don't you think?
Stamps:
Emerging Turtle (Sara England) from CHF
Ink:
Oregano Adirondack dye (Ranger)
Paper:
Simply Smooth White from CHF
Bazzill Smoothies
My Mind's Eye
Origins (Basic Grey)
Other:
fiber (May Arts)
oval die (Spellbinders)
Labels 9 dies (Spellbinders)

I had to ink up the newest set from Flourishes (Apple of my Eye) and make a fall card today. The temps here in TX have been WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhh............ The sketch over on the Technostamper blog looked like fun, so I stretched the small square to fit this mug of apple cider.
I won this apple set from one of the Flourishes DT ladies (Danielle Kennedy) and I am in love! I can't wait to ink up the rest of the stamps in this set. Many thanks to you, sweet Danielle, for picking my name and sending this to me! HUGS!!!
