Glittery Winter Wishes

Good morning!  Did you see the new stencil release over at A Colorful Life Designs?  We are all about the holidays this month, and it's my favorite time of the year!  The holiday card ideas are flowing and I'm inspired by all the wonderful new stencils.

My heart truly skipped a beat when I saw the stunning new Baroque Swirl Snowflake stencil.  I placed this stencil over some watercolor paper and then spread some white stencil paste over the entire panel.  After I removed the stencil, I set this panel aside to dry completely while I stamped and trimmed the sentiment (Hero Arts).  Then I pulled out some distress sprays and just had fun spraying, using some paper towel to dab the sprays from the top of the stenciled paste.  When the sprays were completely dry, I replaced the stencil over the paste and covered that with a glitter paste for that extra shimmer.  After this panel was dry, I trimmed it down, adhered it to a white card, and added the sentiment in the center.

Glittery Purple Snowflake

Good morning!  Did you see the new stencil release over at A Colorful Life Designs?  We are all about the holidays this month, and it's my favorite time of the year!  The holiday card ideas are flowing and I'm inspired by all the wonderful new stencils.

I started this card by placing the 5.25" Marvelous Masks Arch stencil upside down on a white card, and then I brushed some lilac ink over the entire arch area.  I placed the gorgeous new Lacy Snowflakes stencil to fit the snowflake inside the purple arch and I brushed a darker purple ink over that.  While the snowflake stencil was still in place, I spread some clear glitter paste over the stencil, removed the stencil, and let the paste dry.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment (Papertrey Ink) below the snowflake.

Mistletoe in the Arch

Good morning!  Did you see the new stencil release over at A Colorful Life Designs?  We are all about the holidays this month, and it's my favorite time of the year!  The holiday card ideas are flowing and I'm inspired by all the wonderful new stencils.

The new Marvelous Masks Arch stencils are perfect for scene building, and I used both the 4.25" stencil and the mask on this card.  I started by placing the stencil over a burgundy card and I brushed some black ink over the large arch area.  After this black ink dried, I placed the mask (the inside arch-shaped piece that was cut from the stencil) over the black arch and then placed the Brick Wall stencil over the card and the mask.  I lightly sponged some white ink over the brick stencil and then removed the stencil and the mask.  The mistletoe arrangement (A Jillian Vance Design) was die cut and added to the arch along with the sentiment (Hero Arts).

Deck the Halls Greenery

Christmas Words and Snowy House

Good morning!  There is a brand new stencil release over at A Colorful Life Designs today, and we are celebrating the holidays this month!  For this card, I pulled out the new Christmas Words stencil and placed it over some white cardstock.  I sponged some lilac, pale blue, and medium blue inks over this stencil for an ombre look and then I used a corner punch to round off the edges.  The little house scene was die cut (Concord & 9th) with matching cardstock and adhered to a little half-oval strip before being glued down to my stenciled background.

Tis the Season Snowflake

Good morning!  There is a brand new stencil release over at A Colorful Life Designs today, and we are celebrating the holidays this month!  I fell in love with all the gorgeous new snowflake stencils, and I immediately placed the Baroque Swirl Snowflake stencil over some white cardstock and spread some shimmery blue paste over that.  After it dried, I trimmed the panel down, wrapped some sheer ribbon around the top, and added a sentiment (Pinkfresh Studio) below the snowflake.  This panel was adhered to a white card with some foam tape.
