Fiery Red Sunset

I was in a watercoloring mood, and I wanted to see if I could create a fiery red sunset scene. I stamped Growing Wild from Technique Junkies with permanent black ink onto watercolor paper and let it dry. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Five Fab Phrases set, also from Technique Junkies, with Versamark and covered it with copper embossing powder. If you look closely, you can see some of the copper powder on the black wildflowers. I actually like that! It's kind of like fireflies in the dark.

Then I pulled out my watercolor paints and just spread colors all over with wild abandon. I sprayed water all over and picked up the paper to let the colors run together. I love the deep red at the top and how it seeps into the orange and yellow down below. To me, these colors are always associated with summer.
