Spring Bees

The forecast for tomorrow shows that the high will be 77 degrees! *gasp* I dare say spring might actually be here!! Springtime in Texas is usually a very short season - sometimes only a few weeks, longer if we are lucky. We gotta enjoy it while we can before that sticky heat settles in for the long hot summer.

In honor of spring, I created this cute little bee card. The sketch on the Technostamper blog this week is perfect for these little images. I actually cut out the little white squares first, and then stamped the bees, flowers, and spring sentiment with black Stazon ink. The yellow card base was stamped with the Distressed Circles Scrapblock - doesn't that remind you of honeycombs? The images are colored with Memento markers (from the CHF store) and then sponged very lightly around the edges. The finishing touch is some Star Dust Stickles on the bee wings and the centers of the flowers.

Give this sketch a whirl and enter your link into the Mr. Linky widget. Mary Jo is always looking for more players for her sketches. :-) This sketch is easy - it took me less than an hour to create this card. That is a miracle, as it usually takes me days to put a card together. LOL
