Distressed Dreams

I saw a sketch challenge in one of the forums on Splitcoaststampers, and I fell in love with the sketch layout. I had to work on this tonight after supper because it was just stuck in my head and wouldn't let me rest until I made this card. I can see myself using this sketch over and over with different stamps and papers and ribbons.

I used some Cosmo Cricket Fleuriste designer paper for both of the background rectangles, and matted them with Chocolate Chip cardstock. The card base is also Chocolate Chip, with a layer of Vanilla cardstock that I've sponged with Walnut Stain distress ink and then roughed up with a distressing tool. I used that same distressing tool on almost all the other layers on this card.

The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms' Motivational Centers set, and I've stamped it with Chocolate Chip ink. I then sponged over it with Walnut Stain distress ink and roughed it up with the distressing tool. The yummy ribbon is from May Arts, and I love the brown and ivory checkered pattern.

This card is really easy to put together once you get your papers and colors and stamps picked out. I wonder what my next card will look like? Hmmmmmm........ who wants to challenge me? :-)

Stamps: Motivational Centers (Cornish Heritage Farms)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Walnut Stain distress
CS: Chocolate Chip, Vanilla, Cosmo Cricket Fleuriste
Other: May Arts ribbon, distressing tool, sponge
