Bluebird and Butterflies

Hi friends! Have you seen the challenge over on the Classy Cards 'n Such blog? This week's challenge is to use birds and/or butterflies on your project. The challenge ends on Saturday evening, so you still have some time to enter your card!!

I decided to make a sweet little spring scene, so I started with a pale blue cardstock folded in half (A2 card size). The sentiment, from the Celebrate set (Stampavie), was stamped with a darker blue ink in the bottom right corner. Next, I cut out the Bare Branch die with Kraft cardstock and adhered it to the left side of the card, making sure it didn't cover up the sentiment. The sweet little Nestled Bird was cut from a darker blue cardstock and adhered to one of the branches.

For the flowers, I used the Flower Mound die and two different colors of pink cardstock. I shaped each flower with the stylus (from the Paper Blossom Tool Kit) and the Paper Blossoms Craft Molding Mat, and then adhered the flowers to the Bare Branch. Next, I cut out the Leaf Clusters from pale green cardstock and cut each of the leaves apart. I then glued the leaves next to the flowers.

In the centers of each flower, I squeezed some Ice White Viva Decor Pearl Pen paint, and then I set it aside to dry. Once it was dry, I added some butterflies that were cut from white cardstock and the Butterfly Delights die.

Come play along in our challenge and show us what you can create with birds and/or butterflies. We'd love to see what you come up with! Please feel free to use this code, Holly-10, to save 10% off your order when you shop at Classy Cards 'n Such.
