Two posts in one day? LOL! Yup! There's another challenge on the the Flourishes blog, and this card is for the Country Roads challenge. We are supposed to share a picture of our favorite country spot, pick some colors from that picture, and use that as inspiration for our card.
The picture below is what I see from my back yard porch every day. As you can see, I've got a wide vista of farmland and trees. I used the blues, the greens, and the browns as inspiration for my card above. The tree is from the Forest of Trees set and the sentiment is from Ferns and Fiddles - all from Flourishes. I sponged the blues and greens onto the card after I stamped the tree, and then I filled in the tree with various green inks. The layer underneath is a Torn Frame technique from Technique Junkies. I love that sentiment - that's exactly what I do when I am sitting on my porch - just breathing in the fresh air. I added some May Arts ribbon and some coconut buttons tied with twine for a clean and simple card.
I hope you've enjoyed my posts today. Take some time to "just breathe" and enjoy the day. :-)

Hi Holly! I love the picture of your backyard, what I wouldn't give to have that everyday! :)
Your card is picture perfect and I love your papers! The way you colored your tree in, I feel like I am standing in a meadow :) Another beautiful card, Holly :)
Thank you for playing along with us in our Flourishes Noontime Challenge!!

Great view from your porch and your tree looks wonderful. I like the paper you paired with it. Very calming. Thanks for playing in Flourishes country road challenge.
Well, I should say that's a serene scene to wake up to each day and a beautiful card inspired by it! So glad you played girlie!
