It's time for another challenge over on the Cornish Heritage Farms blog, and this time we are playing with Pearls and Lace. I went for a shabby chic feel for my card today. I pulled out my French Script Backgrounder and stamped it with rose ink onto some vanilla cardstock, then I rubbed a kraft ink pad over it and scrunched it up.
For the bottom half of my card, I rubbed kraft ink onto kraft cardstock and scrunched that up and let it dry. Once both pieces of my background were dry, I glued them together and then adhered two layers of of ivory lace. Some rose cardstock was used to cut out a doily, and I used a hot glue gun to adhere three strands of pearl beads. I wanted to use the pearl beads instead of traditional half-pearls, and these add a great swinging movement to my card.
The medallion is from the Antiques stamp set, and I stamped it with rose ink onto vanilla cardstock. Once the rose ink was dry, I rubbed a kraft inkpad over the medallion and scrunched it up for the same aged effect as I used on the French Script background piece.

The french script background was perfect for this challenge. I love your colors too.
Very pretty, I love the distressing, great idea using pearl strands instead of the normal half pearls.
