Pinwheel Mother's Day
Have you got your Mother's Day cards done yet? Here's a quick and easy idea for you. Make a quick little pinwheel, add a button to the front, and stick it down on a card. Add the sentiment and you've got a cute and fun card to give to a lucky lady.
I used this Happy Mother's Day sentiment from QKR Stampede, which can be found as part of this Happy Birthday set. I didn't want to cover up the stem from the pinwheel, so I cut the words apart and loosely arranged them to one side.
I can just hear you asking "how did you make the pinwheel???" LOL Easy peasy.
Get yourself a piece of paper that has a pretty pattern on both sides. Cut it down to 3" x 3". (You can do any size square - 3x3 is just what I happened to use here.)
Now draw a line from one diagonal end to the other so you have an X lightly drawn on the paper.
Cut those diagonal lines about an inch or so - DO NOT cut all the way across.
Pull one of the points down to the center and adhere. Pull every other point down and adhere to the center until you have four points adhered in the center. You can cover this with a button, a brad, a sticker, anything.
If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment or email me. I hope this inspires you to get your Mother's Day cards done. :-)
