Blue Roses Love and Hugs

Good morning!  I love the new Joined Roses stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, and I thought it would be fun to try it in a blue color.  I placed this stencil over a pale blue cardstock and brushed a soft blue over the whole panel.  I went back over the centers of the flowers with a smaller brush and added a bit of a darker blue just in those centers for a little contrast.  After I added the die cut sentiment (Paper Rose), I added a bunch of Luminous Poolside Card Bling.

Cherry Blossom Celebration

Good morning!  A Colorful Life Designs came out with some great new stencils this month, and one of them is this new Zig Zag Squares.  It's so versatile!  I used it as a subtle background for this floral card by placing it over some pale pink cardstock and brushing some pale pink ink over that.  After I added the glitter cardstock frame and the die cut flowers and sentiment, I added some gorgeous Crystal Metallic Rose Gold Card Bling.  It's the perfect color of bling with the champagne glitter frame and the pink flowers and stenciled background.

Glittery Butterfly Birthday

Basket of Easter Eggs

Today's cute Easter card was created with the new Basket and Egg stencil.  I placed the stencil over some white cardstock and I brushed some kraft ink over the basket.  I removed the stencil, cleaned it off, and then placed it over some more white cardstock and brushed some blue ink over the egg.  I repeated the process to ink up the egg six more times in different colors, and then I fussy cut all the eggs.  I cut a small slit at the top of the basket and tucked the eggs in there and glued them down before I adhered this to a pink card base.  I die cut the sentiment (Simon Says Stamp) with the same pink cardstock and adhered it to the top of the card.

I had so much fun making this card.  Think of all the colors you can use to color your eggs.  You could even use other stencils on top of the eggs to decorate them, or you could add embellishments to them.  The possibilities are endless!  Have a great week!

 

Pastel Easter Eggs

Good morning!  A Colorful Life Designs has some adorable Easter stencils this month, and I used the Cute Easter Egg stencil to create this card.  I started by placing the Cute Easter Egg stencil over some white cardstock, and I brushed some yellow ink over the floral egg.  After I removed the stencil and cleaned it, I placed it over another piece of white cardstock and brushed some pale green ink over the egg.  I removed the stencil, cleaned it again, and placed it over a third piece of white cardstock and brushed a pale orange ink over that floral egg.  I fussy cut all three eggs out and set them aside while I brushed the pale green ink over the sentiment onto a white card.  Then I adhered the three eggs with foam tape above the stenciled sentiment.

Purple Reign Flower Hello

Good morning!  The new stencil release at A Colorful Life Designs has so many fabulous new patterns to play with, and one of them is this Mixed Shapes stencil.  I couldn't put this one down!

I put the Mixed Shapes stencil over some deep yellow cardstock and brushed a deep yellow ink over the whole panel.  I added an oval piece of vellum and the die cut flowers (Concord & 9th) and sentiment (Kristina Werner) to this panel and then I glued some Purple Reign Mix Card Bling around the flowers.  It's so fun to have all those stenciled shapes in the background, and then a large vellum oval, some triangle-ish flowers/leaves and round Card Bling.

On My Mind

Good morning!  I love all the new stencils in this month's release at A Colorful Life Designs, and I've been making all kinds of cards with these.  Today's card just came together so effortlessly, all because of the gorgeous new Flowing Curl stencil.  I started by placing this Flowing Curl stencil over some pale blue cardstock, and I brushed a pale blue ink over the whole panel.  Some sheer ribbon was tied around the panel and then I added the stamped flower and sentiment (Taylored Expressions).  The Satin Matte White Card Bling was glued around the flower and then this panel was adhered to a white card base.  I love how the flower mimics the stenciled curls.

Long Distance Hug

Good morning!  Did you see the new stencil release over at A Colorful Life Designs?  There's so many gorgeous new stencils, and I wanted to play with all of them!  You'll see a lot of variety in my cards this month.  For today's card, I pulled out the new Mixed Shapes stencil and some bold colors of ink.  I used some low-tack tape to mask off part of a white card, placed the Mixed Shapes stencil over the card, and brushed on the hot pink and dark blue inks.  The two colors blended together in the middle to make a fun purple color.  After I removed the stencil and the tape mask, I added the stamped and die cut sentiment (Kristina Werner) and some Metallic Hot Pink Card Bling.

Happy Birthday Roses

Good morning!  There's a brand new stencil release over at A Colorful Life Designs today, and this month is full of gorgeous new patterns and some sweet Easter designs.  I pulled out the new Joined Roses stencil and placed it over some cream cardstock, brushed some mauve ink all over it, removed the stencil, and then stamped over it with a script stamp and some brown ink.  I used the same brown ink and lightly brushed some around the edges of the stenciled panel and then I roughed up all the edges with a distress tool.  After I adhered the die cut sentiment (Waffle Flower), I tied some beige ribbon around the panel and I added some gorgeous Crystal Metallic Rose Gold Card Bling.  Lastly, this panel was glued to a brown card base.
