Claus Family Ornament Tags

Good morning!  I have a couple of cute Christmas tags to share with y'all today.  I pulled out a couple of new stencils from A Colorful Life Designs and some plain white tags.  I placed the Watercolor Ornaments stencil over one tag and brushed some red ink over the long spiral ornament.  Then I moved the Watercolor Ornaments stencil over to the second tag and brushed some green ink over the small round ball.  

Next, I placed the Mama & Daddy Claus stencil over the red ornament tag and brushed black ink over the "Mama Claus" sentiment.  I moved this stencil over to the green ornament tag and brushed black ink over the "Daddy Claus" sentiment.  To give these tags a bit of a distressed look, I splattered some gold watercolor paint over both tags, and then I added some more gold paint along the edges.  After the paint dried, I tied some black ribbon to the top of the tags.  Now these are ready to add to the wrapped gifts for "Mama" and "Daddy."

Bundle Up Sweater Grid

 

Good morning!  A Colorful Life Designs released some new Christmas stencils yesterday, and the new Snowflake Grid stencil is so perfect for all kinds of wintery cards.  I placed the Snowflake Grid stencil over some aqua cardstock and brushed some aqua ink over the whole panel.  After I die cut the stenciled panel with a rounded edges rectangle die, I added the die cut sweaters and the sentiment (Concord & 9th).  This panel was then adhered to a white card base.

Poinsettia Postage Christmas

Good morning!!  It's November and there is a wonderful new stencil release over at A Colorful Life Designs today.  This month is focused on Christmas designs, from candy canes to reindeer to ornaments to trees.  I fell in love with the new Christmas Postmark stencil and I wanted to make fun little postage collage card.

I started by placing the Marvelous Masks Postage Stamp 5" stencil down on a white card and I lightly brushed some pale blue ink over the stencil.  With the Postage Stamp stencil still taped in place, I put the new Layered Poinsettia stencil on top and stenciled the flower petals with a medium blue ink, the leaves with a gray ink, and the little flower center with a dark blue ink.  I removed the Layered Poinsettia stencil and placed the Christmas Postmark stencil at an angle across the top and sponged a dark blue ink over that.  I moved this stencil so that the edge of the postage lines were over the bottom left corner and I sponged some more dark blue ink there.

After I removed the Christmas Postmark stencil, I left the Postage Stamp stencil taped to the card.  I splattered some white paint over the entire card (and the stencil!!  LOL) and let it dry.  Then I removed the Postage Stamp stencil and glued some Winter Wonderland Blend Card Bling randomly all over the card.  I love how this card turned out!
