Country Girl Easter

I've been itching to play with my Sarah Kay stamps, and the challenge on the Stampavie blog is to make an Easter card. Since I don't have any of the new stamps yet (they are in the mail from Stampers Dream!!), I pulled out this Country Girl stamp to play with. It has cute little chicks on this stamp, and chicks are Easter-ish, right?

The image is stamped on watercolor paper and I used various dye inks to color in the image with an aquapainter. The flowers are from sprigs of fake flowers at Walmart and the sentiment is from Stampin Up. I used this week's sketch from Mercy's blog to put this all together. It was so nice to sit and watercolor and just have fun today.

Thank goodness it is Friday! I hope you have a great weekend!
