Apple of my Eye

It finally feels like fall here in Texas, and I was inspired to create a warm, homespun apple card using this fabulous Apple Window Square Scallop Card from Creative Cuts and More. This card is cut from the gorgeous dark green Ivy Bazzill Canvas cardstock.

To contrast with the dark green cardstock, I chose to stamp a houndstooth background with red ink onto some smooth white cardstock. The background just looked a bit too clean and "white", so I distressed it by sponging some Antique Linen distress ink all over.

How do you like the little pieces of wood on this card? Yes, that is real wood! LOL I found a small bag of wood slices at Walmart in the floral section, and this provides the perfect country feel for my apple card. :-)

By the way, don't forget to use this special coupon code - CC&M10Holly - when you order from Creative Cuts and More. You will receive 10% off your order. Gotta love that!
