Rubbernecker challenge - ATC1

The Rubbernecker blog posted a challenge yesterday (Wacky Wednesday) to create an ATC. I've never made an ATC before, so this was completely new to me. I found some Rubbernecker stamps that I stole from Mom (shhhhhhhh) to make this card. She had the big set of Tim Holtz Nature stamps, and I tried to make these fit on the ATC. According to most people, an ATC should be 2.5" by 3.5". I had to make mine just a tad bigger so I could fit this big quote on there. :-)

I stamped the flowers/weeds with Scattered Straw distress ink first, let that dry, and then stamped the quote on top of that with Archival Jet Black ink. Once I was sure it was completely dry, I sponged all the edges with Dusty Concord distress ink, and used my distress tool to rough up the edges. I kept it simple by finishing it off with some orange-y dew drops.

Well...... little did I know that this would be so much fun! I actually ended up making a bunch more ATC's which I will post shortly. I'll post a couple more tonight, and then some more tomorrow and this weekend. I'm crossing my fingers that I will win one of the chances for 25% off so I can have a little shopping spree at Rubbernecker. There are SO many stamps I would love to buy!

Beautiful, Holly! I love how the sponging around the edges leaves it lighter in the middle to highlight the sentiment! Cool!
